Safer Food Better Business (SFBB)

All food premises must have, by law, a food safety management system (FSMS) based on HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) principles. SFBB is a free government FSMS (Please see free downloads section), that if filled out and implemented correctly can make the business compliant with food safety legislation. SFBB is essential to achieving a good food safety score from the Local Authority Environmental Health Officer (EHO).

EHO Expectations In Terms Of Training

The law states that all food handlers must be suitably trained and/or supervised. As an EHO we require to see proof of this and good way of doing this is answering questions, completing the SFBB training records and doing a suitable food safety training course so they can provide a certificate to the officer.
